UC CREDIT All music classes offered receive University of California accredidation.

ASSIGNMENTS & PRACTICE Assignments will be given out in class and it is the student's reponsibility to check for class assignments. Students are expected to practice at home for 20 minutes a day.

REHEARSALS & PERFORMANCES Missed rehearsals and performances CANNOT be made up! See Director if you have any conflicts with scheduled performances.

CONCERT ATTIRE

CONCERT BAND / SYMPHONIC BAND Required concert attire for Concert and Symphonic band is a formal "white over black" look . For men, this means a white button-up collared shirt, black suit or dress pants, dark ties (either straight or bow), black socks and black dress shoes (no athletic shoes). For women, concert attire is a black dress or dressy black skirt, at least knee length or below, and crisp white top white top (no strapless or spaghetti straps), appropriate hose and black shoes (no open-toed shoes or sandals). Women may wear pants, following the guidelines set out for the men.

JAZZ BAND / PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP Required concert attire for Jazz Band and Performance Workshop (can also change TBA for different gigs) is a dressy semi-formal to formal mixed colors look. For men, this means dress pants, polo shirt or dress shirt (shirts tucked in), black socks and black dress shoes. Women may wear pants, following the guidelines set out for the men, a dress, or top and dressy skirt, at least knee length or below, with appropriate hose and nice dress shoes. NO jeans, athletic shoes, shorts, baggy sweats, etc. ... and please don't come looking like you're skateboarding.
